Denebrix Technologies Private Limited is the entity responsible for the processing described in this Policy, subject to applicable law. This Policy applies to website visitors, customers, farmers, app users, distributors, business partners, and other individuals whose personal data we process.

2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use and the information you choose to provide, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Identity and contact information: name, phone number, email address, postal address, business or distributor details, and information you provide in enquiries or support requests.
- Account information: login or account identifiers, authentication-related information, profile details, and account preferences. We do not ask you to send passwords by email or support messages.
- Orders and transactions: products ordered, delivery details, order history, invoice and refund information, and transaction status. Payments may be handled by Razorpay or another payment service clearly identified at checkout. We do not intend to store full card numbers, CVV values, UPI PINs, or banking passwords on Denebrix systems.
- Soil and agricultural data: SoilMaster® readings and records, which may include soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), NPK or other supported nutrient readings, moisture, temperature, test date/time, device identifiers, field/farm labels, and related recommendations or history. The exact parameters depend on the device and app version used.
- Location information: GPS or other location information when you grant the relevant device permission or enter a farm/field location. Location may be used to associate a soil test with a field, display location-based records, or support related product features. You can manage device location permissions in your device settings; some features may not work without location access.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, device model and operating system, app version, browser type, logs, diagnostic/crash information, and interactions with our website or app, to the extent collected by our systems or integrated service providers.
- Communications: information included in emails, calls, forms, feedback, complaints, or support conversations.
Please do not submit information about another person unless you are authorised to do so.
3. How We Use Information
We may use the information described above to:
- create and administer accounts and provide SoilMaster® device, app, website, and support functionality;
- process orders, payments, delivery, returns, refunds, warranty requests, and customer service;
- associate soil readings with a user, device, field, or farm and provide soil records, analytics, and agricultural recommendations;
- maintain, troubleshoot, secure, test, and improve our products, services, and systems;
- communicate service messages, product updates, safety notices, order updates, and responses to enquiries;
- send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You may opt out of promotional messages;
- detect fraud, prevent misuse, enforce our terms, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations or lawful requests; and
- carry out other purposes explained to you when information is collected or for which we obtain the required permission.
4. Legal Basis, Notice, and Consent
We process personal data for purposes permitted by applicable law, including to provide a service or fulfil a request, comply with legal obligations, protect our systems and users, and on the basis of consent where consent is required. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it using the method provided in the relevant service or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal and may mean that certain features cannot be provided.
Where required, we will provide a clear notice describing the personal data and purposes involved before or at the time of collection. If a purpose materially changes, we will provide an appropriate updated notice and obtain consent where required.
5. Location and Mobile App Permissions
The SoilMaster® app may request location permission to capture or associate the location of a soil test or field, where that feature is available. We will use location for the disclosed app functionality and not for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis and notice. We do not claim to collect background location unless the app actually does so and the relevant disclosure and permission requirements are met.
You can usually change location permission through Android Settings. If you deny or revoke permission, you may still be able to use features that do not require location, but location-linked features may be limited.
6. Payments and Razorpay
Online payments may be processed through Razorpay. When you choose a payment method, relevant information may be collected directly by Razorpay and its participating banks, payment networks, or other service providers to authenticate and process the transaction, prevent fraud, and meet legal requirements. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Denebrix may receive information such as payment status, transaction reference, amount, payment method category, and related order details. Denebrix does not intend to collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking password. Please review Razorpay’s applicable privacy notice at Razorpay Buyer Privacy Notice and any notice displayed during checkout.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal data as a business practice. We may disclose information, limited to what is reasonably necessary, to:
- hosting, cloud infrastructure, database, analytics, communications, customer support, maintenance, and security service providers;
- Razorpay and relevant banks, payment networks, or payment service providers to process transactions;
- delivery, logistics, warranty, and service partners to fulfil an order or provide support;
- distributors or business partners where necessary to fulfil a transaction or service you requested, or where you have been informed and the disclosure is otherwise lawful;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or prospective transaction parties subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards where relevant; and
- government, regulatory, law-enforcement, or other authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
Service providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to use appropriate safeguards and process it only for authorised purposes. We remain responsible for providing accurate disclosures about the service providers and integrations actually used by our website and app.
8. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
We store information on systems and/or cloud infrastructure used to operate our website, SoilMaster® app, and related services. The specific hosting, database, backup, analytics, and messaging providers may change as our technical arrangements evolve. Before publishing this Policy, Denebrix should identify and confirm the providers actually used by its production systems.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the service, maintaining soil-test history, handling support and warranty matters, resolving disputes, maintaining business and tax records, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data category and applicable law. Data may remain in secure backups for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.
You may request deletion of your account or personal data by emailing info@denebrix.com with the subject “Privacy – Account/Data Deletion” and identifying the account or app profile concerned. Do not include passwords, card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will assess and respond to the request under applicable law. Some information may need to be retained where legally required or where a lawful exception applies; where appropriate, we will restrict its use to that purpose.
If the SoilMaster® app supports account creation, provide an easily accessible in-app deletion route where feasible and maintain a functional web-based deletion request route. Ensure that the Play Store Data safety disclosures and app behaviour match the actual deletion process.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Depending on the system, safeguards may include access controls, authentication, restricted administrative access, secure transmission, monitoring, backups, and supplier controls.
No website, app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Security measures should be kept appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks involved. If a personal data breach occurs, we will take steps required by applicable law and our incident-response procedures.
10. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to support essential functionality, remember preferences, understand website usage, maintain security, or measure performance. Third-party tools integrated into the website may also use their own technologies, subject to their configuration and notices.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality. If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are used, Denebrix should provide the notices and consent controls required by applicable law and ensure this Policy accurately identifies those technologies and purposes.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law and any relevant conditions or exceptions, you may be able to request access to information about your personal data, correction or updating of inaccurate information, erasure, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and grievance redressal. You may also opt out of promotional communications by using an unsubscribe mechanism where available or contacting us.
To submit a privacy request or complaint, email info@denebrix.com with the subject “Privacy Request” or “Privacy Grievance”. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. We will handle requests within the timelines and process required by applicable law.
Where applicable law provides a right to nominate another person to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity, requests may be made using the process prescribed by law.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our products and services are intended for their stated users and are not designed to knowingly collect children’s personal data without the required authorisation and safeguards. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us in circumstances that are not permitted, contact info@denebrix.com so we can assess and take appropriate action. Where the app or services are intended for children or are likely to be used by them, Denebrix must implement the specific age, parental-consent, and other safeguards required by applicable law before launch or continued use.
13. International Processing and Transfers
Our service providers or technical infrastructure may process or store information in India or other jurisdictions, depending on the providers and configuration actually used. Where personal data is transferred outside India, Denebrix will comply with applicable Indian law and any restrictions or safeguards that apply. Before publication, confirm the locations and transfer arrangements of the production hosting, analytics, app, and support providers.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website or app may link to third-party websites or services, including Google Play and Razorpay. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information. This Policy does not govern independent third-party services that Denebrix does not control.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our products, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements. We will publish the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes. The revised Policy applies from its stated effective date, subject to applicable law.
